Richard Oppong Kumi is an operations and management professional with over a decade of experience leading multi-site delivery and performance-driven operations across the mining, oil and gas, construction, and academic sectors. He has built a strong track record in structuring operations, improving execution, and enforcing accountability across complex, field-based environments. Prior to joining Kaman as Head of Operations, Richard served as General Manager of MIC Group of Companies, overseeing subsidiaries including MIC Transport and Logistics, MIC Properties, ONA Resources and Mining, and Loyalstar Company Ltd. He also progressed from Senior Administrative Assistant to Assistant Registrar at Sunyani Technical University over a seven-year period, gaining strong administrative and institutional management experience. He holds an MSc in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from University of Ghana Business School, an MSc in Mathematical Sciences (Applied Statistics) from the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences, Cameroon, and a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Cape Coast. This academic foundation supports his analytical and data-driven approach to operations and decision-making.
